WWE Had to Remove Roman Reigns from Superstar Due to Personal Problems in Real Life
On an August 2021 edition of The Bump, a specific effort was made to keep Matt Riddle away from Roman Reigns. The show featured a video interview with Reigns, followed by an in-studio interview with Riddle.
According to former show host Matt Camp, production made sure that Riddle was not on set until the interview with Reigns was fully completed. This decision was made due to personal problems between the two fighters.

Camp revealed, “We definitely kept Riddle off the set until the interview with Roman was finished, which was the right decision.”
Riddle had made comments about Reigns in interviews, stating that he could defeat him in a “real fight”. Despite this, the two worked together for a period in 2022, including a match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on SmackDown, where Reigns emerged victorious.
